AA Online Meetings for Alcoholics has revolutionized the fellowship.  Although there is no substitute for real person to person interaction in the real world, it comes a pretty good second best.  In fact, many alcoholics, including teens in society, and especially those that haven’t had a drink for a day or 2, are not only nervous but suspicious and skeptical about the program and fellowship of AA.  AA online meetings and virtual support offers a latent and very anonymous approach to this support group, and therefore most likely delivers  many problems drinkers to a life of sobriety who would probably never have made it if it wasn’t for the general approach offered by the internet.
