The Ann Ford Scholarship is a Learning Disability Scholarship


The Ann Ford Scholarship is for for students who have a learning disability. This disability scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who has an identified learning disability (LD) and will be pursuing an undergraduate degree. The scholarship payout is $10,000 and is one of the largest LD scholarship stipends of it's kind. According to the perameters of this particular Ford scholarship, a candidate must show financial need, be a US citizen, GPA of 3.0, provide current documentation of an identified learning disability and must be enrolled in high school as a senior with the intention of pursuing a (4)-year
undergraduate degree. Minority students are encouraged to apply for the Ann Ford Scholarship. Anne Ford served as Chairman of the Board of the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) from 1989 to 2001. She has the insight and understanding for the learning disabled. During her term as Chair, Mrs. Ford led the reorganization and broad expansion of NCLD, including establishing a presence in Washington, D.C., and organizing educational summits on learning disabilities in several regions of the United States. She is a very accomplished woman in learning disabilities and through her scholarship program she brings an even greater understanding to this learning disability.
