Those care packages are hoarded for themselves or sometimes shared with their fellow soldiers. Maybe they’ll open their care package and find a few of their favorite magazines or homemade cookies. Perhaps there are photographs or items of sentimental meaning for them. Some soldiers will receive care packages that have packs of crackers and cookies, popcorn and candy, and they are more than eager to share their new treasure with others. Including prepaid calling cards is always a welcomed surprise for those oversea soldiers. Those care packages can help to boost morale and let them know that they are being thought about even though they are halfway around the world.
