Examples of Goal Setting
You probably have set goals for yourselves in your lifetime, whether written or in thought. We more than likely never wrote down the goals but we worked very hard to accomplish the goals. Whether we succeeded or not, at least we tried to set some goals. Basically, there are three types of goals; they are character, academic, and process goals.
When we are very young, we start to learn to set character goals. In fact most of our character is built before we reach adulthood. One of the most important jobs of parents is to teach their children to set character goals. Obviously, parents don’t sit their children and tell them to write down behavior goals. Our children need to learn behavior goals before they can even write. We teach our children to manners as soon as they can understand the concept.
