Doing Forced Reps For High Intensity Weight Training


One great high intensity weight training technique is to have a spotter assist you in getting a couple of extra reps after you’ve done a set to failure. These extra repititions are also known as forced reps. Many major upper body exercises such as bench presses, military presses, triceps extensions, and bicep curls are great for getting some forced reps. Most lower body exercises aren’t as easy for a spotter to assist you on for some extra reps, but they can be done on machines such as the hack squat or leg press.
