The first wedding anniversary is so important. For most couples the first year is a difficult year, a time of transition. This is the year that they love to become a couple instead of two single people. Often there is plenty of stress and strain. This year is called the “Period of Adjustment.” Therefore, the first anniversary is a celebration of surviving what was probably a turbulent time.
