The condition called tinnitus has been around for many years, and seems to be growing worse with the loud times we live in. The main cause of tinnitus is exposure to very loud noises.

It's no secret that our world has become much noisier, and it's difficult for anyone to avoid exposure to loud noises. The most upsetting aspect of tinnitus is that it has no cure! How weird is this when millions of sufferers worldwide have tinnitus.

Do to the growing popularity of Apple ipods and similar MP3 player,
most cases of tinnitus are self inflicted. MP3 players are very popular even your cell phone comes equipped with one.

Students, sportsman, women and commuters are particularly attracted to these devices. The last mentioned often use MP3 players as a way of passing the time and masking some of the noise and clutter that surrounds them when they are commuting.

The problem is that, since trains, buses, and traffic are so loud, they must increase the volume levels; this is when damage begins to occur and tinnitus cause will rear its ugly head.

Many people are unaware of tinnitus until they have it, then realizing how debilitating it can be.

Therefore, in my opinion the best cure for tinnitus is education. It's one of those things in life, just like sex, that children and teens should study in school or at the university level.
