Elgin Pocket Watches

When I was growing up, my family didn't follow any special traditions at all. We didn't do anything out of the ordinary for Thanksgiving or Christmas, nor did we have any significant heirlooms to pass down from generation to generation. I always felt I was missing out on something in this regard, so I promised myself that when I had my own children I would do my best to create meaningful traditions for them.
Well, that day has finally arrived. One of the first things I'm going to do is purchase an Elgin pocket watch to give to my son when he gets older. This actually used to be a pretty common tradition in American families, but has fallen out of practice in recent decades.
