Affecting roughly 1 out of every 50 people, psoriasis is a physical skin condition that can cause significant psychological distress. One of the most interesting discoveries related to psoriasis is that its onset is rooted in the body's own immune system.

The more obvious signs of Psoriasis include skin that is pinky-colored, flaky, rough and irritated. the most common form of the condition is known as  plaque psoriasis, left untreated it develops round, oval or irregularly-shaped patches of red that are covered with skin that's scaly and silver-colored.

Suffers should seek specailist advice and discuss a psoriasis treatment that's specifically tailored for that individual.
