As someone who makes a living working from home, I have to tell you that it is not quite as glamorous as you might think. Don't get me wrong – I love to work from home. I get to set my own hours, work in my pajamas all day, and take off time whenever I want to. On the downside, however, there are problems with job security, and of course the need to practice constant self discipline. The self discipline is necessary because the distractions are endless. The phone may ring all day or the kids might want a ride to work. Everyone has to learn that when moms at her desk, she’s at work. Before you decide on a career of a home-based business, you should carefully think out the pros and cons of working from home.
