Halo gamers are now able to customize their online character with new Halo 3 Armor permutations. For gamers who play online there are two different characters that can be chosen from. A gamer can play as the Covenant Elite character or they can play as Master Chief or also known as UNSC SPARTAN-II. These new armor permutations we're first introduce during the Halo 3 beta, and all of the new armor can be unlocked by accomplishing different tasks through out the campaign game play or multiplayer game play.

It was mentioned earlier that gamers could choose to play as either a Covenant Elite or Master Chief. If the gamer decides to play as a Covenant player, then he or she will be able to choose from 625 different Halo 3 Armor permutations once they are all unlocked. This includes various color combinations as well. They can choose from 5 helmets, 5 shoulder pieces and 5 chest pieces. They will be able to make a combo of 1 helmet, 2 shoulder pieces and a chest piece for their character.
