The Ultimate Lock Deadbolt
If you haven’t heard about lock bumping, it’s a good thing you’re reading this article to find out about it. Otherwise, you’d be learning a hard lesson when your house is broken into because someone ‘bumped’ your lock. Simply put, lock bumping is when someone inserts a random key into your deadbolt lock and simply hits the tip of the inserted key with a hammer a few times until, voila!, their key unlocks your door. It’s a scary fact that homeowners are having to face–how can such a simple lock picking method work on deadbolts and why haven’t lock companies made better locks?
