The Cholesterol Range

A cholesterol lowering diet would consist of healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables, soy, and other healthy food products. For instance, a good diet that would help to lower your cholesterol level would resemble the following guidelines: total fat intake should be no more than 30% of calories, saturated fat intake should be less than 10% of calories, polyunsaturated fat intake should be 8% to 10% of calories, monosaturated fat intake should make up the rest of total fat intake to stay within a healthy cholesterol range. Also, some experts advocate diets that are extremely low in fat for those people who have severe heart disease or those who do not respond to other types of programs, for instance.
